Shootout at Wadala is an upcoming Bollywood film, written and directed by Sanjay Gupta under the banner of White Feather Films and Balaji Motion Pictures. It is the sequel to 2007 Bollywood film Shootout at Lokhandwala, which was based on the book Dongri to Dubai written by Hussain Zaidi’s. The producers responsible for the production of the film include Sanjay Gupta, Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor and Anuradha Gupta. The genre of the film is action and crime. The film features John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Kangna Ranaut, Tusshar Kapoor and Sonu Sood. The movie will also have Priyanka Chopra in cameo appearance and an item number-mujra song.
Talking about the story line of the film, the film is based on true story, reality and the past incident. It is the first-ever registered encounter by Mumbai police, where gangster Nitesh Dhamne was shot dead on November 1, 1982.
