Karan Johar’s latest movie, Student of the Year, has opened quiet well at box office when released on Friday. It has collected more than Rs 7.75 crore nett on its first day. The film expectedly fared exceedingly at all urban multiplexes, while at single screens the response was quiet below the mark which was also expected.

SOTY’S opening day has over all did quiet good similar to movies like Heroine and Barfi. The response and reports by audience are good and far better than the movie Heroine. But the film has not done as strong as Barfi has done. But still we expect the same business in upcoming days.
