Kabir Khan’s film Ek Tha Tiger starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles has collected about 110 crores at the box office within a short period of 6 days.It is a great record in the Indian Box office history.
The trade is abuzz with the prediction that Ek Tha Tiger will cross Rs 200 crore in less than a fortnight and could well break the record haul of 3 Idiots, which was Rs 385 crore.
“The film has opened to a crazy response, so there are chances that the total box office collection will increase. Since the film was strategically released on a week that includes Independence Day as well as Eid, it had an advantage,” says trade analyst Vajir Singh.
Moreover, it is expected that the film will collect 140 crores plus. However, a romantic comedy film Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikal Padi directed by Farah Khan is the next release. It is not a big release at all. So, it can not threat Salman’s Ek Tha Tiger.
