For spring/summer 2013, the Italian brand “Marni” presents straight cuts, lots of color blocking and a beautiful set of patterns. The new Marni’s collection offers textiles like cotton poplin, bonded crispy cotton, double jersey, and technical poplin. Lines through outerwear, shirts, suiting and Rhythmic prints creating orderly patterns over surfaces are also in Marni’s latest collection. Marni also has aligned with Dutch artist Rop van Mierlo for a special “Wild Animals” collaborative project. The designs will display blotchy-shaped animals such as a donkey, a parrot, an ostrich and a tiger on the T-shirts. These designs have been taken from the well known and popular book of van Merlo’s, Wild Animals which earned the Best Dutch Design Award in 2011.
